My love for the outdoors started when I was just 13, when my summer camp decided it was a great idea to take a bunch of teenagers camping. They whisked us away to Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, and even the Grand Canyon, filling our young minds with breathtaking scenery that left a lifelong impression.

What I discovered back then still holds true today: the best memories are made when you disconnect from the noise of everyday life and connect with the people you love—under the stars, around a campfire, or on a quiet trail.

Fast forward 20+ years (and many, many tents later), I’ve planned countless camping trips—from solo adventures to family getaways with my own son. Along the way, I realized something important: camping doesn’t have to be expensive, intimidating, or complicated. You just need a little guidance to know where to go, what to bring, and how to make the experience stress-free.
